Everything Major Tom publishes is general information and commentary about markets. It is not investment advice, it is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security, and it is not personalised to you. We do not know your finances, your goals, your tax position or your risk tolerance, and nothing we publish takes them into account.
We are not your broker, your investment adviser or your fiduciary. Using Major Tom does not create an advisory relationship of any kind.
Our published picks are a record, not a recommendation. Where a pick names a security with a direction and an entry price, that is us stating a position and then scoring it publicly against a locked entry price so the record can be checked. It is a measurement of what we said and how it turned out. It is not advice to you, and you should not read it as a suggestion to trade.
Some content, including the daily brief, is generated with the assistance of an AI model from market data. It is reviewed before publication, but it can still be wrong, and it carries no more authority than anything else on the site.
Decide for yourself, and take professional advice that accounts for your circumstances before you act.
The pick scorecard reports how previously published picks have performed against their entry prices. Past performance does not indicate future results. A scorecard can look good and still tell you nothing useful about the next pick. Watch picks are excluded from the total, by design, and the methodology is stated on the page rather than left to inference.
Market data on Major Tom is supplied by third parties and is provided for information only. It may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. It is not a quotation, an offer, or a solicitation to transact, and it must not be relied on for trading, valuation, accounting or tax purposes.
Data is subject to the terms of the providers we license it from, and you may not scrape, redistribute or resell it.
Major Tom cannot place, cancel or alter an order, and has no execution capability of any kind.
Where Major Tom offers a brokerage connection, that connection is read only. It permits reading positions and balances. It does not permit trading, and it cannot be converted into a trading connection. You can disconnect at any time, and doing so deletes what we hold from that connection immediately. See the privacy policy.
Do not use Major Tom to break the law. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it. Do not scrape it, overload it, or resell what it publishes. Do not represent our content as your own or as advice you are giving to somebody else.
We do not promise that Major Tom will be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults. Data can be late or missing, a widget can fail, and a scheduled job can not run. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service, including individual measurements or widgets.
Major Tom is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any trading or investment loss, lost profits, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Major Tom or from reliance on anything it publishes. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud.
The site, its writing, its measurements and its design are ours, apart from third-party market data, which belongs to its providers. You may read and share it with attribution. You may not republish it wholesale or present it as your own.
Major Tom has no paid subscription today and nothing on the site is for sale. If that changes, the price, what it includes and the cancellation terms will be stated at the point of purchase, and these terms will be updated before the first charge.
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use Major Tom after a change means you accept the updated terms.
